IBEI’s teachers are men and women with a calling to theological education and with specific spiritual, academic, professional and ministerial qualifications. Below, the current list of IBEI’s teachers. All of them are formally invested in their role by IBEI’s Board. Associate teachers that are “guest” teachers, invited to teach one class or a seminar.



Rosa Battista

She graduated from the Università degli Studi of Bologna with a Music and Performing Arts Degree (Discipline delle Arti della Musica e dello Spettacolo). She holds two diplomas from the music conservatory "U. Giordano" (Singing and Music Pedagogy). She participated in post graduate programs at the University of Bari and Roma Tre. She teaches Music in a "Scientific and Classic" high school, and works as an expert teacher in musical and artistic activities in various high schools. She has worked in the revision of both the UCEB and BIBLOS hymnbooks. At IBEI, she teaches Music in the Bible.


Paul Currin

He has a BA in Social Sciences from James Madison University and a Masters of Divinity (in Missions) from Columbia International University. He studied linguistics at Summer Institute of Linguistics. He taught Social Sciences for several years in the Public Secondary School in the USA. He was director of the Biblical Department in a private Secondary Christian School. He teaches Biblical Semantics, Principles of Exegesis, Exegesis of the Epistle to the Romans, Deuteronomy and Jeremiah, Research Methods and Hebrew. He is also the school librarian. He is involved in an Evangelical church in Mentana (Rome).


Giorgio De Angelis

He earned a degree in "Biblical Science" in the college "G.L. Pascale" (Pavia, Italy). He then specialized in formation and church growth attending courses at TMG (Training fur Mitarbeiter im Gemeindebau) in Salsbury (Austria). He was active and organized missionary services in Italy and in various European countries. Since 1993 he serves as a missionary in L'Aquila, involved in teaching, evangelism and discipleship. He taught for several years at the S.V.C (Christian Life School) in the Evangelical Bible Institute at Isola del Gran Sasso (TE). He has published various articles in several evangelical magazines. He is a member of the AITB (Italian Bible Translators Association). At IBEI, he teaches Evangelism.


Gaetano Di Francia

He holds a Bachelor of Theology degree (Diplome en Theologie) from "L'Institut Biblique et Missionnaire Emmaus" (Switzerland), and a post graduate degree in Bioethics and Sexology from the theological faculty of the "Università Pontificia Salesiana". He is the Paster of the Rometta Marea Bible Church (Sicily), and is the president of the Unione delle Chiese Bibliche Cristiane (UCBC). He is also involved in organizing and teaching in counselling related programs. At IBEI, he teaches Bioethics.


Andrea Diprose

In the 90's earned a Bachelors degree majoring in Missions at the Bible College of New Zealand and R.S.A. Certificate from Cambridge University (G.B.) to teach English. In 2001 he earned a MA in Intercultural Studies, at the EUROPEAN SCHOOL OF CULTURE AND THEOLOGY (Korntal, DE). He taught English at the Università Popolare dei Castelli Romani (UPCAR). He teaches Cultural and Missionary Anthropology. He is also teaching Italian to inter cultural workers and Inter cultural Principals to witness the Gospel to migrants.


Rolando Fisher

He holds a degree in History from Princeton University, two degrees in Theology from Grace Theological Seminary and from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (USA); a research doctorate Th.D from Grace Theological Seminary. Since 1965 he has been a missionary first in Japan, then France and since 1975 in Italy. He cofounded and led two churches in Milan. He was Director of Cross World Europe. He teaches Introduction to Theology and Bible Doctrine.


Emmanuel Giuni

He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History from the Alma Mater Studiorum Univeristy of Bologna, and Bachelor of Theology from IBEI, with emphasis in Exegesis and Biblical Languages. He is involved in his local church in Asti as a deacon, where he teaches regularly. He is in charge, with Susi Waldner, of teaching Practical Spirituality Project – Mentoring.


Gianfranco Giuni

He holds a degree in Sociology, has a specialization in Substance Addiction at I.S.S.S.P. (Pescara), IREF(Milan) and Living Free (USA). He is trained in Christian Counselling at ETC (D) and at BTC (UK), in Family Therapy and in Feuerstein's method of cognitive modifiability. Since 1979 he works with Teen Challenge Italy to help overcome and prevent substance abuse, in training (counselling, sociology, family, communication) and Christian counselling. He is responsible for ATC and of Christian Counsellors Association, is a member of the Executive Committee of ETC. He was President of AEI and founding member of GTC (USA). He is the author of several publications among which: "Dipendenze e codipendenze" (2014), "Germogli spezzati" (2008). At IBEI, he teaches Sociology and Pastoral Care.


Andy Hamilton

He obtained a Bachelor of Divinity (B.D.) in 2008 and a Master in Theology (M. Th.) in 2009 from Belfast Bible College and Queen’s University Belfast. From 2008 – 2012 he served as the Youth Pastor of Scrabo Hall (Northern Ireland) and was a member of the steering committee of a discipleship and mission programme called FirstServe. He is involved in a church-planting ministry in Monte Porzio Catone (Rome). At IBEI he serves as the coordinator of the distance learning school and teaches Eschatology, Introduction to Theology, Soteriology and Old Testament Overview (1, 2 and 3).


Todd Kincaid

He obtained a Bachelor of Biblical Studies and a Master of Divinity from Luther Rice University, USA. He has served the Lord first as a missionary in Haiti, France, Uganda, then as a pastor/elder in a church in Ohio, USA. He often travels to India where he teaches in a center for ministry formation. Currently, he is involved in Italy in a ministry among migrants, and works at IBEI in the Distance Learning Program. He teaches Missions 3 - world religions.


Elia Manduzio

He earned a Bachelor of Theology at IBEI, and studied three months in Switzerland where he obtained a diploma through the Leadership Training course at the headquarters of the European Child Evangelism Fellowship (UEB) of Kilchzimmer. Following that he earned a degree in Educational Science at the University of Studies in Turin, Italy, at which he is currently enrolled in Pedagogy Science for a teacher's degree. At IBEI he teaches Pedagogy 1.


 Fares Marzone

He completed several correspondence courses from Moody Bible Institute (USA) and earned a masters degree in Missiology at the Tyndale Theological Seminary (Holland). For more than forty years he has preached and taught among the "Brethren" churches in Italy and abroad. He is past president of the missionary association OMEFI and has contributed in the founding and development of the churches in Albania. He is author of various publications. He presides over the international committee of "Brethren" (IBCM). He is Editor and Director of the newsletter INFORMAZIONE, member of the editorial staff of Lux Biblica e coordinator of the local DL-Extension schools. He teaches: Ecclesiology 1, Missions 1, Homiletics 1, Church History, Inductive Bible Study.


Ester Montefalcone (Associated teacher)

She earned a Master Degree in Modern languages and literature from the Università degli Studi of Bologna. She then obtained the certification to teach English as a second language. Since 2007, she is Italian Director for Youth for Christ Italy and develops and coordinates evangelistic programs for teenagers, and training for youth workers. At IBEI, she teaches Youth Ministry.


Daniele P. Pasquale

He holds a University diploma in Environmental and Resources Engineering from the university La Sapienza of Rome, and a degree (M.A.) in Christian Studies from Denver Seminary, USA. He is involved in Bible camp activities in Italy (in particular, CAMPOSPORT), and committed to a pioneer ministry in Monte Porzio Catone (Roma). Since 2011 he is the new Academic Dean at IBEI. He has authored articles in Lux Biblica, Witness in Many Lands, and Certezze. At IBEI, he teaches New Testament Survey 1, 2, Spiritual Disciplines, Greek, Pedagogy 2 and is the coordinator of the Ministry Projects.


Ada Scorza - Marzone

Ada has a degree in Foreign Languages and Literature from the University of Bari, has completed courses from Moody Bible Institute Correspondence School and obtained IBEI Extension School Certificate, Foggia. For about 30 years she had a ministry in teaching teenagers and children, mainly in her home church. She translated Sunday School material for Bible Club Movement and contributed to the magazine "Il Traguardo". She contributes to the editing of Lux Biblica and Emmaus-IBEI Courses. She is in charge of teaching Sunday School.


Susanne Waldner

She holds a Bachelor degree in Languages (Italian and Russian) and Cultural Sciences (Italy) from Passau University, and a Bachelor of Theology from IBEI, with emphasis in Exegesis and Biblical Languages. Since 2003 she lives and works as a missionary in Italy. She has served in several Evangelical Radio Broadcasting stations in Sardinia and Seregno (CRC). Currently she is involved with L'Arca Teen Challenge (Christian Counselling and Teaching). She made missionary trips in several East European Countries (Siberia, Moldavia, Latvia). Currently she is studying for a Masters in Practical Theology at UNISA (University of South Africa). She wrote no. 45 of Lux Biblica "Il mentoring". She is in charge, with Emmanuel Giuni, of teaching Practical Spirituality Project – Mentoring. She also teaches Pedagogy 2.


Christopher Zito

He holds a degree in Exegesis and Biblical Languages from IBEI, a Masters (Th.M) and a Ph.D. in Theology from the Evangelische Theologische Faculteit, Heverlee (Leuven) Belgium. He serves in the Nettuno church (Rome) and Borgo Podgora (Latina). He is in charge of teaching various learning activities including Hermeneutics and New Testament Survey 3.
